Rating: ★★★★☆
Title: Lion Boy - the chase
Edited by: Zizou Corder
Genre: advanture

During the lesson in English, Ms. Farrer handed out all book text each person, also she gave me one text that is called Lion Boy- The chase. I could feel that this is such a good book and i thought it may be an advanture story, even though i heard only the name of this bool, Lion Boy.
Also, i used to be bored with romance or horror book such as Twilight, so actually i needed a new book!

NEW VOCABULARY: 1) mend to repair somthing that has been damaged or broken

2) mushy too emotional in a way that is embarrassing

What kind of writing style and language does the writer use? Quote examples to support what you say.
It is written in such a innocent and child-like way that there is never any doubt who the book is written for. "What's wrong with me?" "Obviously this is nonsense and he is crazy, so we send him to the secure hopital." As i read these quotes, i felt that the authour tried to use easy words and be friendly with the young readers.

What i liked while i was reading.
The characters are more three-dimensional and the narrative more consistent. There is plenty of action but also a subtle subtext that will interest gifted readers. There is some interesting commentary on the wide divisions of wealth in our global community, as well as a few sly digs at the use and abuse of genetic manipulation, and the uncaring and impersonal attitude of large companies.

  1. Heaven,
Your comments are obviously not your own as I don't believe that you actually understand the following:
"The characters are more three-dimensional and the narrative more consistent. There is plenty of action but also a subtle subtext that will interest gifted readers."
because I almost don't understand what it means ...do you really think that the subtle subtext will interest the "gifted reader????
